Renowned creative director Gemo Wong—formerly of Nike and Jordan Brand—approached our studio to collaborate on the creative direction and graphic execution for NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook's upcoming apparel line, HTG by Westbrook. The project originated in Los Angeles, where we played a key role in sourcing inspiration and establishing the brand's visual direction.
The aesthetic draws heavily from rock culture, channeling the rebellious energy of punk rock with specific references to Lenny Kravitz's genre-blending style. This rockstar-inspired approach runs through every graphic element, creating a cohesive visual language that bridges Westbrook's athletic persona with countercultural edge.
Working under Wong's leadership, we helped translate these cultural references into a contemporary streetwear context, ensuring the brand maintains both authenticity and commercial appeal while reflecting Westbrook's bold, unconventional approach to style both on and off the court.
